Dear JoesList, Halloween. Yup. I'm sure you can round up somethign to do this weekend. No costume? No problem. Just get a bottle of mineral water and toss it back and forth- Evian Flew. ha. Get your voting out of the way. As of Thursday, only 14,427 had voted early. There are several amendments to the Texas Constitution up for consideration. You can learn a little about the election issues, FAQs and find voting locations at http://rs6.net/tn.jsp?t=mu4d7pbab.0.es4e7pbab.kg998rn6.15248&p=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.bexar.org%2Felections%2F. I don't get terribly political in this email. I typically focus on getting people involved in their community and with the arts. That's my sneaky way to develop a compassionate vote. Here's a thought: If you vote against Proposition 2 amending the Texas Constitution, you aren't necessarily voting FOR any lifestyle. Your nay vote could mean that you are against singling out minorities and limiting their state-level civil protections at the constitutional level. There's plenty of reasons why someone who is opposed to gay couples having a union "identical or similar to marriage" might want to vote against Propostion 2. You can read this email from any internet computer by visiting my blog at http://rs6.net/tn.jsp?t=mu4d7pbab.0.rzogqpbab.kg998rn6.15248&p=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.joeslist.blogspot.com. It usually takes me a couple of moments to post it each week. San Antonio, you are still beautiful! Joe Barfield The Joe Barfield Group
